Library Services: Borrowing

All three Aurora College Campus Libraries serve students, staff and community users, and loan material to all Aurora College campuses and community learning centres. Library resources can also be borrowed through NWT Public Library Service's interlibrary loan system. Borrowers are responsible for lost or damaged material and will be invoiced as per Aurora College Policy E.03.

How to get a library card

Students: A student must be currently registered at Aurora College (any campus or community learning centre) and must have a valid student ID card. The ID card will be your library card, so bring it with you.

Faculty and staff: The library will issue a permanent library card, which is valid as long as the faculty or staff member are employed with Aurora College.

Evening instructors and tutors: In recognition of their service to the college, evening instructors and tutors are issued library cards.

Community borrowers: An external borrower’s card may be issued upon request to persons otherwise not affiliated with Aurora College including Aurora College students without a valid student ID card, and GNWT employees.

Interlibrary loan: Items from Campus Libraries are lent through interlibrary loan to borrowers outside of their community.
