These guidelines are intended to help staff and students copy and communicate digital and print works in a fair and legal manner. If you have questions, please see your campus librarian, or contact ahook@auroracollege.nt.ca, preferably well before you need to make the copy or clip the video – if you do end up needing to request permission, it will take time!
Aurora College requires all staff and students to comply with copyright law (see Aurora College policy B.18 Copyright). Individuals are responsible for understanding their rights and responsibilities regarding copyright. These guidelines are based on ACCC’s (now CiCan) 2012 and CAUT’s 2013 guidelines and apply to both print and digital resources in the context of teaching, learning and research. They are not intended to act as a substitute for legal advice.
The reproduction or use of creative property in any form by staff or students of Aurora College is subject to copyright or other protective legislation.
