Research Data Management Workshops

Building RDM Capacity in the Northwest Territories

Inuvik   |   Yellowknife   |   Fort Smith

Background

Aurora College hosted a series of Research Data Management (RDM) workshops in October 2024 in Fort Smith, Inuvik, and Yellowknife. Funded by a grant from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC), these sessions were intended to enhance RDM awareness and capacity within the Northwest Territories (NWT) research community.

The workshops focused on establishing a strong foundation in RDM and highlighted practical tools and accessible RDM supports. The workshops were designed for anyone who works with or has an interest in research data; researchers, post-secondary students and faculty members, and the public are welcome to attend.

In addition to the in-person workshops in October, Aurora College will host a virtual RDM Speaker Series throughout November 2024. Led by RDM experts specializing in various fields, these sessions will offer further training and insights to enhance participants' skills and knowledge.
